Terms & Conditions

Long's Plumbing & Heating Inc

Register for Texting (Required):

Registering for texting does require that you have a website, and the website needs to be TCR Compliant, which includes having a Privacy Policy with a clickable link. You will also need a Terms & Conditions page with a clickable link. If you don't have a separate page for Terms & Conditions, then you can have a header on your Privacy Policy that says Terms & Conditions. Both your Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions require the following verbiage for Verbal opt-in and Website/Online opt-in.

For reference, the following elements are required in the verbiage (already included in the example verbiage).

  • Brand name
  • Types of messages the consumer can expect to receive (Appt, dispatch, and survey)
  • Message frequency disclosure (Message Frequency may vary)
  • "Message and data rates may apply" disclosure
  • Customer care contact information (Text HELP for help, contact [email address] for support, etc.)
  • Opt-out information (Text STOP to cancel, and no further messages will be sent)

Example Texting Verbiage:

 Verbal opt-in:

  • [Company name] will be collecting opt-ins verbally from their customers. The customers will be able to opt in to receive messages either in person at their physical location or over a phone call if the customer calls. When a customer is registered for the first time, they are asked to provide their phone number, and staff are trained to ask if the customer would like to opt in to SMS-based billing notifications, appointment reminders, dispatch notifications, and job completion surveys. They will be verbally informed that "Message and data rates may apply", "Message frequency may vary", and they can "text HELP for support or more information and STOP to unsubscribe at any time, and no further messages will be sent." They will also be informed that their information will not be shared with third parties.

Website/Online opt-in:

  • By submitting this form and signing up for texts, you consent to receive text messages from [Company Name] at the number provided, including messages sent by autodialer. Consent is not a condition of purchase. Msg & data rates may apply. Msg frequency varies. Unsubscribe at any time by replying STOP or clicking the unsubscribe link (where available), and no further messages will be sent. Reply HELP for help. Information will not be shared with third parties.

To your Contact request form, you need to add the following verbiage with clickable links. The verbiage needs a checkable box beside it.

Privacy Policy [link] & Terms [link].

General notes:

ServiceTitan does not impose any port-in or port-out fees. This means that you will not be charged a fee to have a number moved to ServiceTitan from another provider, and we will not charge a fee for you to take a number from ServiceTitan to another provider. With your current pricing structure, you will not be charged any telecom fees. This means that you will not see any fees per-number or per-minute.

For any number you port to ServiceTitan or obtain through ServiceTitan, you will remain the owner of record. You are welcome to move any phone number that you have with ServiceTitan to another provider at any time. All numbers must be ported out before your last day of service with ServiceTitan; otherwise, you will lose phone service and/or any phone numbers associated with your ServiceTitan account. The process is outlined below:

Your new phone provider will need to submit the port request.

  • ServiceTitan verifies your zip code. As long as your phone provider submits the port request with the same zip code on your ServiceTitan account, the port request will be approved, and FOC will be issued immediately.
  • ServiceTitan does not use pins or passwords in order to port out.
  • If your phone provider is requesting a ServiceTitan Account Number, you can use your numerical ServiceTitan Tenant ID.
  • If an invoice is requested by your phone provider, download copies by going to Settings and selecting Billing.
  • If you or your phone provider has any questions or needs assistance, please have them email portout@servicetitan.com.
